You see, my mum had a natural ability to talk, build relationships and show interest in others… whether it was the milkman, the grocer at the corner shop, the man at the petrol station or the woman walking her dog down the road. Sometimes, I felt positively embarrassed! I remember frequently tugging at her arm and saying “Mom, is it time to go, yet?” desperately hoping that she’d hear my pleas and stop mid sentence… Growing up, my mum would talk to anyone… and I mean anyone! AND…if you’re honest, it probably made you feel quite frustrated and you thought it was a waste of time UNTIL… one day it dawns on you what it was all about… Maybe, you too were young, impatient and you just couldn’t see any purpose or value to it. All the plans were clear in my mind and I didn’t worry about how it was going to happen.Īs if out of nowhere, a series of synchronicities happened all at once.
